For accounting firms

Software for accounting firms

Our founder is a CPA with more than 50 years of experience, and accounting firms are where our software starts. We are building verification of tax advice and financial statements, and we build automation for the workflows of a practice and records for the obligations firms and their clients carry.

Verify the work before it is issued

Our first verification capability is designed to check the work an accounting firm issues or reviews, whether it is a tax advice or a set of financial statements.

Tax

Every legislative reference in a draft tax advice checked for existence, currency, accuracy of quotation, and application.

Accounting standards

References to accounting standards checked against the version in force for the reporting period, with paragraph citations and quoted requirements confirmed.

Financial statements

Draft and audited financial statements checked against the presentation and disclosure requirements of the applicable standards, with every figure traced to the trial balance, the ledgers, and other source information.

How a financial statement check runs

  1. Framework

The reporting framework and period are identified, for example Australian Accounting Standards (Simplified Disclosures) or HKFRS Accounting Standards. The standards that apply to that period are then selected, including any the entity has adopted early.

  2. Map

Each statement and note is mapped to the presentation and disclosure requirements that apply to the entity.

  3. Check

Disclosures the standards require are identified as present or absent, for the preparer to assess against materiality, and every reference to a standard is checked against the version that applies.

  4. Trace

Each figure is traced to the trial balance, the ledgers, and the supporting records, and totals, cross-references, and comparatives are checked for consistency.

  5. Report

Findings are reported by paragraph of the standard and by figure, with the evidence behind each one, for the preparer, the reviewer, and the auditor.

The checks are designed to support preparers, reviewers, and auditors. They do not audit financial statements or express an opinion on them. Responsibility for the statements rests with those who prepare and approve them, and responsibility for any audit opinion rests with the auditor.

Automate the work of the practice

We build software that takes routine work off a practice and leaves staff time for review, judgement, and clients.

Onboarding and engagement

Client onboarding, identity checks, and engagement letters handled in one flow, with each step recorded.

Document requests

Requests for client records issued, tracked, and followed up automatically, with each document filed to the right job.

Workpapers

Workpapers assembled from client data and the ledger, with reconciliations prepared for review and each sign-off recorded.

Lodgment program

Returns and statements tracked against the firm's lodgment program, with every client's due dates in one view.

Year-end obligations

Division 7A loan repayments, trust distribution resolutions, and other year-end deadlines tracked for every client group.

Client reporting

Management reports and dashboards for clients, drawn from their own accounting data.

Meet the firm's own obligations

Accounting firms carry obligations of their own, and the software we build keeps the records that show they were met.

Anti-money laundering

Customer due diligence, risk assessment, and record keeping for the services that attract obligations, which began for Australian accountants on 1 July 2026.

Quality management

Review records, sign-offs, and verification reports kept on the engagement file, in support of the firm's system of quality management.

Privacy and data security

Client data held in the region set out in the firm's agreement, under named accounts, role-based access, and an audit trail of every action.

Valuation and evidence for your clients

Our valuation and evidence capability is designed to help a practice record its clients' assets at the end of 30 June 2027, when Australia's capital gains rules change.

It is designed to compare market value with the apportionment method in Treasury's draft determination, where that method applies, using each client's own assumptions. It is also designed to assemble the valuation evidence the Australian Taxation Office describes.

A practice subscription is designed to let a firm bring its clients onto the platform ahead of 30 June 2027. Each comparison is prepared for review by the client's registered tax agent.

Websites and marketing for accounting firms

We also build websites and run marketing for accounting firms.

That work follows the advertising rules that apply to tax practitioners and the consent rules that apply to email marketing, and nothing is published without the firm's approval.
